The hypnosis process for smoking cessation involves an initial consultation session, followed by a hypnosis session and follow-up sessions as necessary.  The consultation session with a hypnotherapist will generally involve gathering information into your personal reasons for wanting to quit smoking, and an overall introduction to the therapist. This enables the therapist to tailor the hypnosis to your situation, making the hypnosis more effective. In the hypnosis session, the therapist will use techniques such as positive affirmations and suggestions that will help you stop smoking.
